New Office

April 24, 2020

Spectra Solutions, Inc.  purchased a condo office in Norwood, MA that will more than double its current facility to increase production capability to better serve our customers. The new location is next to the Norwood airport with easy access to major highways (Interstate 95 and Route 128). Renovations are underway to provide a state of the art manufacturing facility and R&D laboratory. Expected move in date will be July, 2020.

Micro-Raman Technology to Interrogate Two-Phase Extraction on a Microfluidic Device

Our collaborators at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory has recently published a featured journal article in the recent issue of Analytical Chemistry (Anal. Chem.  2018, 90, 8345-8353) that employs Raman fiber optic probe to interrogate 2-phase extraction in microfluidic device. The PNNL work employs Spectra Solutions Inc. Raman fiber optic probe and Raman instrument.

Department of Energy SBIR Phase II Award

Spectra Solutions Inc. has been awarded a Phase II Department of Energy SBIR grant (DE-SC0017716) for $1M for a 2 year program to develop a microfluidic liquid-liquid extraction chip with integrated spectroscopic sensors. The microfluidic chip initial application will be for the analysis of nuclear fuel reprocessing materials. The work is in collaboration with the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.

Raman Fiber Optic Probe Analysis in Microfluidic Devices

Collaborative research with Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in the integration of Spectra Solutions, Inc. Raman fiber optic probe to microfluidic devices for the analysis of nuclear fuel reprocessing solutions has been published recently in Analytical Chemistry (Anal. Chem. 2018, 90, 2548−2554) and Analyst (Analyst, 2018, 143, 1188).
